Marc received his Master’s degree in counselor education from the University of New Orleans in 1998. He holds a license in both Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Counseling from the state of Louisiana. He has served on staff at a non-denominational church providing professional Christian counseling for several years before he and his wife opened The Kitchen Table Counseling & Life Coaching Services in 2006 in Lafayette, La. He is trained in EMDR,( a therapeutic process to treat past trauma) and Recall Healing (addressing psychosomatic disorders) along with other areas of professional counseling & life coaching skills and experience.
Marc is best at restoring struggling marriages and families, parent coaching (for blended and traditional families), treating PTSD and coaching people through difficult life circumstances. Unique to his business, he and his wife created a year long coaching school and a series of weekend workshops called Growth Challenge to expand and diversify their impact for the community.
Marc loves his beautiful bride, Melissa and is a father to five amazing children, two through marriage and three by birth. He understands the challenges that come with blending a family. He loves helping people escape the pain of their past and is always looking for ways to bring more healing to his clients.
Now Available On-Demand
Marc brings 20 years of experience as a licensed counselor and marriage and family therapist, as well as 15 years experience as a private practice therapist with over 50% of his clients being marriage and couples. Marc will share his practice approach, therapeutic tools, and techniques from a perspective that couples are the perfect fit for each other’s growth plan in life. If each partner chooses to develop the underdeveloped parts of themselves, they can be instrumental in co-participating in the healing of each others “trauma.” Healing may then be a goal for a relationship to thrive.
